Staff recommended denial because the adjustment would create a nonconforming parcel larger than the 2.5‑acre maximum. Applicant Whitney (appearing remotely) said the landowner seeks the change to build an agricultural shop to store farm equipment and that the adjustment would not increase density or change ownership; neighbors who attended the neighborhood meeting did not object.
Two commissioners indicated an inclination to approve given the agricultural purpose and continued single ownership but asked staff to draft appropriate findings of fact and conclusions of law. The board voted to table the application to the April 28 open business meeting to allow staff to prepare revised findings for approval.
