The Iroquois County Finance/IT/Tax Committee approved an ordinance authorizing the sale and disposal of three surplus sheriff vehicles, accepting bids that totaled $23,500 for the vehicles and authorizing use of proceeds toward replacement/upfitting.
Earlier in the meeting the chair said she lacked sufficient information to act on a separate proposal to send certain salaries to the county treasurer and sheriff and moved to table that item until the May meeting so staff could gather details. "I'm going to go ahead and table this simply because I don't know how I missed this," the chair said as she postponed action to allow time for review.
The committee discussed but did not take a final recorded vote on a resolution to sell a parcel acquired through the delinquent-tax process; staff said the proposed sale would yield $371 for the county, including $71 in reporting fees, but no vote on that parcel sale appears in the transcript.
