Board approves EV charger upgrade project after split vote; two trustees want more grant research

Trustees asked about grant opportunities and whether the city had plans to add public chargers; two trustees (Mrs. Gonzalez and Mr. Walk) voted no at the final roll call, stating they wanted more research into potential grants and project necessity. Other trustees supported moving ahead to obtain competitive bids.
The motion directs staff to solicit formal bids and return contract recommendations to the board for award consideration.
