District administrators told the education and student life committee that the PowerSchool student information transition is progressing and provided dates for spring state testing.
Mr. Hewitt and Dr. Turk said the district completed the third round of i-Ready assessments in late March; the i-Ready results will help predict PSSA outcomes. The committee was given the testing schedule: PSSA ELA (April 21–23), PSSA math (April 28–29), PSSA science (April 30–May 1), with AP and Keystone testing to follow in May. Administrators also noted counselors will meet with students to finalize schedules for next year and that observations and continuous improvement meetings are wrapping up.
Board member Mr. Paro asked why some report cards appeared at different times for different grade levels. Administrators said the district ran posts after the break and that some reports were published on Tuesday morning; they suggested PowerSchool’s interface and timing could appear inconsistent to users. "They should all be live," one administrator said, recommending colleagues check again if they saw missing reports immediately after the break.
Staff said they are working with PowerSchool/vendor support to ensure a smooth transition before the next school year.
