The Columbia County Management and Internal Services Committee voted May 12 to approve a set of disaster‑related service contracts following a competitive procurement process.
Mr. Granado briefed the committee on a five‑year procurement that drew seven proposals for disaster debris management. "Staff recommends awarding the disaster debris management services to seriesir environmental," he said. The committee moved the item to consent and approved it by voice consent.
He told the committee staff used combined technical scores and costs to rank proposers and recommended an award for debris monitoring services to the vendor identified in the transcript as "debris." That item also passed on voice consent.
Separately, the county put public assistance consulting out to bid after the last response grew substantially; Mr. Granado said Synergy Public Assistance Consulting received the highest score and would provide consulting support if the county needs to pursue FEMA or other public assistance after future incidents. He said Synergy can also provide hourly consulting for events that do not meet a disaster declaration threshold. The committee approved the Synergy contract on the consent motion.
The committee did not record roll‑call votes in the transcript; motions were moved, seconded and accepted by voice consent. The transcript identifies the recommended contractors and that staff made the awards based on combined scoring of technical proposals and cost.
The committee proceeded to other agenda items after approving the disaster‑related contracts.
