"When they remove the old shingles, we're going to put in some more venting, um better ridge cap," Chad said, explaining that better venting should reduce overheating in attic heat pumps and extend equipment life.
Britney, Pine Valley administrator, and committee members discussed bids and recommended Heiser Exterior because the company agreed to install solar fans, provide a 10‑year warranty and offer a financing plan that would allow Pine Valley to pay $25,000 a month for two years with no interest. Staff said Heiser would also offer a later 'rejuvenation' spray (RoofMax) and a 10‑year workmanship warranty. Committee members asked for the recommendation memo to explicitly list the value components (monthly no‑interest financing, warranty, solar fans and rejuvenation option) for the county board.
The committee voted to forward the recommendation to the county board and directed staff to document the funding source on the county board packet.
