Board approves $600,000 incentive and extends completion date for 228 North Ridgewood Drive

The board approved an agreement addendum for 228 North Ridgewood Drive that designates the project as an all-commercial development incentive in the amount of $600,000 and revises the project's completion date to July 31.

A representative introduced in the agenda as Robert Blackman updated the board on construction progress, reporting that interior buildout is substantially complete — drywall, ducting, new plumbing and electrical work — and that painting, sealing of brick and parking-lot restriping remain. Blackman said furniture for the site was ordered months earlier and that the operator, Regis, will handle leasing and day-to-day operations under an operator arrangement for which the developer fronted build-out costs.

Board members asked about exterior landscaping, signage review, and the expected timing for opening after the certificate of occupancy and furniture installation; Blackman said he expects opening within roughly 30 days after final approvals and requested the board extend the completion date to July 31 so the item would not return for another update before ribbon-cutting.
