Curriculum adoption: Under new business, a presenter identified as Mrs. B. proposed adopting social-studies instructional materials required by the state. The board approved Teachers Curriculum Institute materials for elementary and high school and SAS materials for middle school. The presenter cited a total estimated purchase-with-shipping cost of $16,056.30; a motion to approve the adoption carried.
Executive session announced: The board announced it would move into executive session under ORS 192.6602(2)(d) for labor negotiations and ORS 192.6602(2)(i) to review and evaluate the superintendent or other public officers; the meeting paused for the closed-session agenda items.
