Cinnaminson board honors teachers, staff and students at May meeting

At its May 12 meeting the Cinnaminson Township Board of Education recognized a range of district employees and student achievements.
The board presented a Board of Education Achievement Award to Mark Tindle, director of facilities, and named winners across departments including technology, early childhood education, reading specialists and classroom teachers. Presenters highlighted honorees’ long service, leadership during facilities projects and pandemic operations, and innovations such as literacy and therapy‑dog reading programs.
Rob Becker introduced Bill Barrett of VFW Post 3020, who announced local winners of the Voice of Democracy (high‑school audio essay) and Patriots Pen (middle‑school essay) contests and presented certificates. Winners named in the meeting included middle‑school Patriots Pen winners Grace Bazilla, Moa Yedlapati and Lilia Marshall and high‑school Voice of Democracy winners including Kaitlin Quinn (first), Amra Raster (second) and Katherine Smith (third).
High‑school student representative Carly Trump and middle‑school representative Colin Kohler gave reports summarizing spring athletics results (CHS golf 13–1; CHS indoor drum line’s regional podium finish), music and theater performances, upcoming concerts, student elections and community service events. Carly noted several individual student awards and listed upcoming performance dates; Colin highlighted middle‑school qualifiers for the Penn Relays and end‑of‑year activities.
Board members congratulated the honorees and student representatives and encouraged the public to attend end‑of‑year events. Routine agenda items including minutes, financial reports and personnel actions were approved by the board during the meeting.
