The district's community relations committee reported a successful career and college fair attended by elementary through high-school students and roughly 80 vendors, including postsecondary institutions, trade organizations, military representatives and industry partners. Student council volunteers greeted vendors and helped run the event, which organizers said created dozens of student-vendor conversations and generated vendor requests to return.
Committee members said vendors were enthusiastic, several reported follow-up interest in internships or lunch-and-learn opportunities for high-school students, and many vendors praised the volume and quality of student engagement. The district highlighted operational support from facilities and public-safety staff for traffic and logistics and said it plans to expand vendor follow-ups and student opportunities.
What comes next: District staff and student leaders will coordinate follow-up vendor meetings and consider repeating or enlarging the fair in future years. Administrators said they will continue to cultivate employer and postsecondary partnerships.
