Votes at a glance: Commissioners approve routine resolutions on records, annexation, contracts and counsel

- Resolution 26-185: Approval of the electronic record of proceedings for the March 12, 2026 meeting (approved). - Resolution 26-186: Approval of prevailing purchase orders, warrants (batch CM APR0318) and procurement card payments (PC APR0318) (approved). - Resolution 26-187: Annexation petition from agent for petitioner Molly Gwyn for 15.827 acres in Brown Township to the city of Delaware (approved). - Resolution 26-188: New liquor license application from New Green Bracket Club; Division of Liquor Control reported no objections (approved). - Resolution 26-189: Authorization to participate in a new national opioid settlement and to have the county administrator sign the participation form (approved). - Resolution 26-190: Authorization to set compensation for attorneys appointed by the Humane Society of Delaware County at rates equal to public defender compensation (approved). - Resolution 26-191: Reallocation of special assessments for construction of the realigned Home Road (County Road 124) in Orange Township; reallocation does not change total dollars or annual amount (approved). - Resolution 26-192: Agreement with Consolidated Electric for electrical services at the new shared services building on the Bixby campus (approved). - Resolution 26-193: Transfer of funds for Family & Children First Council (approved). - Resolution 26-194: Letter of support for the Delaware County Historical Society’s grant application for a multi-use trail (approved). - Resolution 26-195: Acceptance of FY2025 Community Development Block Grant federal award agreement with HUD; staff said the application listed approximately $47,000 and that project applications are due April 15 (approved). - Resolution 26-196: Authorization to employ outside legal counsel for labor and employment matters under RC 309.09(C) and to fix compensation for those services (approved).
Vote format: Most motions were moved, seconded and carried with the three commissioners voting in the affirmative. Where individual votes were recorded, Commissioners Jeff Benton, Barb Lewis and Gary Merrill voted yea.
Context and next steps: Several items were routine approvals; the board also received information items, including an EMS accreditation update and administrative reports from commissioners and county staff.
