According to the response Director Yordan read from Dr. Kamper, CCS contracts allocate funding for summer programming on a per-student enrollment basis, and program capacity has been set intentionally below 100% to preserve options for families. The response said staff contacted families whose students had not yet used any available CCS hours to identify barriers and determine which services would be most beneficial. "In addition, we are implementing enhanced outreach for approximately 130 students who have used less than 15% of the available CCS hours to help increase awareness and participation," the reading stated.
Director Yordan praised the administration's work, saying, "I want to congratulate Dr. Kamper and your staff for the work that you're doing to try to get the students the services they need." The board did not take any formal action at the agenda-review meeting; the exchange was recorded as part of the monthly board Q&A materials posted on BoardDocs.
