Trustees asked clarifying questions about standards alignment and whether the texts would cover required course standards across levels; the administration confirmed standards coverage for biology and honors biology and stated teacher buy-in guided the recommendation.
The motion passed by voice vote. Trustees and administrators said they will make the textbook-evaluation forms and program-adoption paperwork available to board members to improve transparency about adoption decisions and teacher involvement.
The board approved several other personnel and routine items later in the meeting before adjourning.
