At its meeting, the Bettendorf Community School District Board of Directors took several formal actions: it approved the consent agenda, approved the district's list of 2026 graduates, adopted several policies on their second and final reading and then moved into exempt session to discuss negotiation strategies.
A trustee moved to approve the consent agenda “as presented,” the motion was seconded, and a roll-call vote produced a unanimous result; the chair declared the motion carried. Later, a motion to approve the 2026 graduates was moved and seconded and the board voted to approve the list. On the policies docket, trustees approved policies in the 400 series on second and final reading after a motion, a second and roll-call vote.
Finally, a board member moved that the board enter exempt session “as provided in the code of Iowa section 20.173 and 20.9 for the purpose of discussing strategies for negotiations.” The motion was seconded, and roll call recorded unanimous affirmative votes; the board recessed into closed session.
The meeting then moved to closed session; no additional actions were taken in open session after the votes.
