At its Feb. 9 meeting the Reynoldsburg City Council approved a set of consent resolutions and passed an emergency ordinance related to local road work.
Consent agenda: Council approved three consent resolutions (items 11 a–c) authorizing the mayor to purchase a UTV and equipment for Parks & Recreation, a Toro Groundmaster 4,000 mower and related equipment, and an F-450 replacement vehicle. The purchases were described as budgeted in the 2026 budget and eligible to piggyback on existing procurement contracts (Sourcewell and Franklin County procurement). The consent purchases passed by roll-call vote, 8–0.
Wagner Road Phase 2 emergency ordinance: The council considered an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract for support services related to Wagner Road Phase 2, with amended language to reimburse CIP funds once bond monies become available and to include emergency language. The council voted 8–0 to approve the ordinance as an emergency.
Committee referrals and first readings: The Development Parks & Recreation Committee forwarded an ordinance to authorize a mayoral agreement with DLZ for inspection services for the JFK Pickleball Court conversion, appropriating funds and declaring an emergency; that ordinance stands for first reading. The Public Service & Transportation Committee forwarded an ordinance authorizing a contract with EMH&T for support services relating to the city's 2026 street maintenance and repair program; the committee described a roughly $3.4 million estimate for initial work pending engineering.
Votes and motions: The Black History Month proclamation and the rules of council were also approved earlier in the meeting. The council subsequently voted to enter executive session under ORC section 121.22(Z)(3) to consult with city attorneys on pending or imminent litigation matters.
No additional conditions or amendments to the purchases were recorded in the minutes; each consent item was described in committee as budgeted and eligible for cooperative procurement.
