The Reynoldsburg Planning & Zoning Board agreed to place a conditional‑use application for a child day care center at 6328 East Livingston Avenue on hold to allow the applicant to provide a to‑scale site plan.
Staff presented Application No. 20250650 and said the applicant had not submitted the required 2‑scale site plan showing the proposed outdoor play area, its proximity to the rear drive aisle, loading and refuse areas, and fencing. Staff concluded the submission lacked sufficient information to verify compliance with childcare and site standards and recommended denial unless additional materials were provided.
Applicant partner Alex Alexander Fowler said the existing dumpster is no longer used by the prior tenant and that the property owner is negotiating relocation of the dumpster so an outdoor play area can be provided. Co‑applicant Grace Benson said there is little to no traffic at the rear of the building and that the proposed playground would fit the space for 15 children.
Board members and staff emphasized they needed a to‑scale site plan prepared by an engineer or architect showing dimensions, setbacks, play area location, loading access and refuse to assess safety and circulation. Based on applicant agreement, the board agreed to hold the application until the April 16, 2026 meeting and set a site‑plan submission deadline of March 26, 2026 if the applicant wishes to be heard at that date; if the plan is submitted earlier, the application can be considered sooner.
The hold gives the applicant time to provide the required documentation; if no site plan is filed the matter will return to the board on April 16 for determination with or without the plan.
