Planning and Zoning Board approves wall sign for Design Defined Salon and Spa at 7382 E. Main St.

The Reynoldsburg Planning and Zoning Board on Feb. 5, 2026 approved a certificate of appropriateness allowing Design Defined Salon and Spa to install a 4‑foot‑by‑3‑foot (12 square feet) non‑illuminated wall sign at 7382 East Main Street.

Staff presented application 20260020 and described the site as parcel 6000010 in the ORDC (Old Reynoldsburg Commercial District) zoning district. Staff said the proposed sign meets all but one Old Reynoldsburg Commercial District standard and recommended approval with a condition that the applicant provide staff with the intended wall sign extension, not to exceed 12 inches, to staff’s satisfaction.

The applicant, identified in the staff presentation as Deepshika Pradhan of Design Defined Salon and Spa, told the board the salon — operated by Pradhan and partner Yoshna Tamang — is a new, independently owned business at the address. "It's really exciting," Pradhan said, describing the opening after six years working in other salons.

Chair moved to accept the application with staff's recommendation; Norm Bruske seconded the motion. Staff called the roll and recorded affirmative votes from the chair, Miss Barnhart, Mr. Tuamoa, Miss Ward, Mr. Bruske and Mr. First. The motion passed and staff congratulated the applicant.

Details recorded by staff: the sign is planned for the building's south elevation, sized 4 feet by 3 feet for 12 square feet total, and the parcel is 0.16 acres. The approval is conditioned on the applicant confirming a sign extension of no more than 12 inches in conformance with ORDC standards.
