The Reynoldsburg plan zoning board approved a certificate of appropriateness for sign refacing at 7574 East Main Street after staff found the proposed wall and monument panels met Old Reynoldsburg district standards and the applicant confirmed the business name spelling.
City staff presented application 2026-0098 and described the proposed work: a wall sign measuring 3 feet by 24 feet (72 square feet) and monument sign panels measuring 2 feet by 6 feet (12 square feet). Staff said the panels are proposed to be polycarbonate with a vinyl overlay and internally illuminated by tube lighting and that the signs meet the requirements of the Old Reynoldsburg Certificate of Appropriateness, section 1109.19, section 1105.03(F), and the comprehensive sign plan.
A committee member noted the photograph in the file spells the business name as "Jewelers" with two Ls while the application showed a single L. Joe Barlett identified himself for the record and confirmed the proposed signage will use two Ls. "My name is Joe Barlett, 6253 East Main Street," Barlett said.
The chair moved to approve the application as submitted; Ms. Barnhart seconded, and the board voted—by roll call recorded by staff—to approve the application unanimously. The meeting then moved on to other business and concluded shortly afterward.
No project cost or construction timetable was included in the materials provided to the board.
