Council committees forwarded several procurement and infrastructure items to the full Reynoldsburg City Council for reading and subsequent approval during the April 27 meeting.
Public Service and Transportation Committee Chair Council Member Hill described an ordinance to authorize the mayor to contract for the design, construction and purchase of a greenhouse at the Parks and Public Service facility. Director Dorr told council the vendor omitted prevailing‑wage pricing in the original bid; the city intends to use contingency funds to cover the higher prevailing‑wage costs rather than rebid, and staff are not requesting additional budget authority. "There was an allowance actually in the contract for this product... the vendor forgot to add prevailing wage... Once again, there is money in the contingency for this project still to cover this," Dorr said.
The committee also forwarded an ordinance to contract DLZ for construction inspection services on Wagner Road Phase 2 (an OPWC project), noting the on‑site project representative tracks daily quantities and may yield savings at closeout. A resolution to enter into a contract with Pyrotechnico Fireworks Incorporated for the 2026 July Fourth display was forwarded, as was a resolution to contract with Lumen Technologies to provide fiber service to city parks and the Public Service facility.
Committee motions to forward these items carried; the ordinances and resolutions were placed on the council reading calendar for first reading and subsequent consideration.
