Kerry said he would examine motel requirements to see which standards the city might adopt and suggested the committee consider a 500-foot spacing rule for residential neighborhoods. He also asked staff to ensure applicants receive correct paperwork ahead of hearings so prospective operators understand the rules before items return to the committee.
