Reynoldsburg City Council honors FRC Team 4085 for STEM outreach

Council President Seanette Strickland read and put a proclamation recognizing Reynoldsburg FRC Team 4085 before the council on Nov. 10, 2025. Council Member Pacquerel read the text praising the team's history, outreach initiatives and competition record, and President Strickland called for a motion to approve the proclamation.
The motion to approve was made by Council Member Sabati and seconded by Council Member Baker; the council carried the motion by voice vote and the proclamation was approved. After the formal action, students from Team 4085 accepted the recognition and described their team's outreach work.
Josie Nutter, a sophomore and first-year team member, said the proclamation underscored "the importance of STEM and its continued existence in our district and community." Senior marketing supervisor Eddy Packrell described organizing the team's inaugural Women in STEM conference and said the team uses outreach to introduce STEM to a broad range of students. Team members highlighted programs such as Women in STEM, RISE (refugee and immigrant STEM experiences), and FIRST LEGO League mentoring.
The proclamation notes the team's founding in 2012, current participants and mentors, regional competition history and community partnerships. Council and the mayor joined students for a photo after the presentation.
