The Commissioners received notice that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold a public meeting about an ongoing PFAS groundwater investigation in Columbia County on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Central Columbia High School.
According to the notice recorded in the minutes, the DEP will host an open house at 5:00 PM, followed by a slide presentation beginning at 6:00 PM and a public hearing portion after the presentation. The meeting notice was conveyed to the board by Lisa Meade; the minutes list the date, times and location for the open house and presentation.
The minutes do not include technical findings or a scope of the plume; attendees are directed to the DEP meeting for the agency’s presentation and the public hearing.
