Columbia County OKs Hotel Tax contract for disc golf marketing and approves $12,500 festival grant

The board approved a contract with OTB East Lost Valley Management LLC for marketing and related services for the disc golf course; the minutes state this contract will be paid from Hotel Tax funds. Separately, the board approved a $12,500 Hotel Tax contribution for the BBQ & Brew Music Festival. The festival motion was moved by Commissioner Kovach and seconded by Commissioner Brewer; Commissioner Karschner recorded an abstention on that vote.
Minutes also record Adam Roberts presented a request for the $12,500 contribution during the work session. The disc golf course at Briar Creek Lake is scheduled to open April 18 at 12:00 PM, and the marketing contract is intended to support that launch. The minutes do not include contract value beyond the approval of the marketing agreement or additional contract terms; procurement and payment will be processed through Hotel Tax funds as recorded.
