Mayor’s appointees confirmed; council honors outgoing members and hears farewell remarks

President Porter presented plaques to former council member Bob Wolfinger and to Council Member Becky Tener in recognition of their service. Several council members offered remarks reflecting on their tenure: Michael Wing reviewed infrastructure achievements and urged civility in local politics; Mr. Schoonover and Mr. Luchtenberg expressed gratitude for colleagues and staff; and Ms. Tener delivered a final address rebutting campaign attacks and encouraging future leaders to act with courage.
The council approved the appointments by motion and carried the related votes; no additional action was required at the meeting.
