Columbia County approves $660,806.08 in opioid-settlement funding for probation, health and recovery services

Jeannie Lapinski presented the list of requests and recommended allocations after a work-session review. The board approved $408,649.48 for Adult Probation, $25,351.86 for the Columbia County Coroner, $18,000 for AGAPE (the meeting record notes AGAPE’s separate $2,000 Narcan request was declined because CMSU provides Narcan), and $1,547.00 for the Columbia County Jail. The minutes also note a $200,000 allocation to CMSU had been pre-approved and already paid. Requests from Community Strategies and Genesis House were tabled pending further guidance.
