Key approved procurements and ratifications included: payment of $2,158,936.18 in bills for the period ending April 21; ratification of courthouse remodeling invoicing ($863.89) and juvenile-office janitorial service ($950/month); approval of two Vanguard GIS invoices ($2,250 and $2,780); purchase of 11 Dell laptops ($17,692.29) funded by program dollars; law-enforcement equipment purchases including a $875 cruiser decal and $2,479.93 for two ballistic vests; and several public-safety infrastructure purchases (external antennas, tower structural analysis, UPS and replacement tower batteries).
Personnel and compensation actions approved included setting Deputy Eric Johnston’s pay rate to $22.19/hour (effective 05/08/2026), ratifying emergency per-diem driver hires at $14.50/hour, and confirming the chief assessor’s salary at $58,000/year after the employee completed 90 days of service. The board also ratified the May health-insurance premium payment of $412,517.61.
