Committee hears RAISE grant update, City Hall work and mayoral appointments
Summary
City staff reported the RAISE grant feasibility study for the Eastside Industrial Connector is ready to move forward; City Hall scaffolding installation and employee urgent care contract savings were also noted. Mayor McDaniel recommended two appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals and asked for council votes that evening.

Jeff Baird updated the committee that a previously awarded RAISE grant for a feasibility study on the Eastside Industrial Connector, which had been delayed at the federal level, is now ready to proceed. SSD Woody reported that work on City Hall will begin with scaffolding going up next week, and provided an update on the FMC urgent care contract for city employees, noting an email was sent with visit counts and year-to-date cost savings.
Separately, Mayor McDaniel nominated Rebecca Anderson and Tom James for the Board of Zoning Appeals; Ms. Anderson was not present and Mr. James re-introduced himself. The mayor asked that council take up a vote on those appointments during new business at the upcoming council meeting.
