Mrs. Hoop, speaking for the Economic Development Committee, asked for suspension to authorize the City Port Authority to pursue a separate $700,000 CORPO grant (20% match) to support design and improvements on Campground Road. Both sponsors cited an Aug. 8 deadline for filing as the reason for the requested suspensions.
