At the Nov. 17 Finance Committee meeting, Chief Schultz provided multiple operational updates for the Lancaster Fire Department. He said the new building behind Engine House 3 is almost complete but that landscaping and street-level gas and water repairs were needed. Chief Schultz also reported that a newly purchased Medic vehicle is now in service at Engine House 1 and that the department is fully staffed at its authorized complement of 84 firefighters.
Chasilyn Carter of Community Development shared that the department had received a letter from a citizen expressing appreciation for the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs and the assistance provided for house repairs.
Judge Fields briefed the committee on the Municipal Court budget and described different revenue streams that affect court finances; the minutes do not include further budget detail.
The meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.; a motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Ailes and seconded by Mr. Sollie. Minutes were prepared and submitted by Finance Chair Mr. Schoonover.
