Commissioner Robert C. Wolfinger moved to remove from the table the request to certify the Police Sergeant test results; Commissioner Crites seconded. Acting Police Chief Chris Caton, Acting Deputy Police Chief Brian Underwood, Assistant Law Director Mitch Harden, Mayor Don McDaniel, Service Safety Director Carrie Woody and Commissioner Wolfinger reviewed the Civil Service Commission’s Rules and Regulations and examined the current evaluation worksheet to confirm compliance. The group reached a unanimous consensus that the worksheet complied with the Rules and Regulations.
Following that review, Wolfinger made a motion to certify the Police Sergeant test results; Crites seconded. The certification motion passed by a unanimous vote, advancing the personnel process for those who took the exam.
The meeting record lists attendees and guests including Acting Police Chief Chris Caton and Acting Deputy Police Chief Brian Underwood. Chairperson Rotkis adjourned the meeting at 5:18 p.m.; the next Civil Service Commission meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2026, at 4:45 p.m. in the 1897 conference room at Lancaster City Hall.
