Trustees debated phrasing: some preferred an outcome‑first formulation (e.g., “Ensure a high‑quality learning experience for all students”) with curriculum alignment as a means to that end; others worried adding too many items would dilute focus. Several trustees asked that the administration return with a version that flips the sentence to put the outcome first and that the full plan be brought back for a near‑term vote on mission, vision and values, with final adoption anticipated in the fall.
The board asked administrators to use the summer to develop measurable outcomes and implementation steps and to report back in time for a light vote on the core mission items at the next meeting.
