Bristol Bay Borough Assembly meets in closed session for manager evaluation, appoints member to negotiate contract terms

The Bristol Bay Borough Assembly moved into an executive session during its April 16 special meeting to carry out an evaluation of Borough Manager James Wilson and later designated Assembly member Rob Babiak to meet with Wilson to negotiate contract terms.

Mayor Veil La. called the meeting to order at 06:01. After a roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance, an assembly member moved to approve the meeting agenda; the motion was seconded and the assembly voted in favor. Shortly afterward an assembly member moved “I move the assembly proceeds to the executive session,” and the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.

Following the closed session the mayor announced his intent to appoint Assembly member Rob Babiak to meet with Manager James Wilson the following day “and negotiate some contract term.” Members indicated their agreement.
