Dan Gillis told the Airport Advisory Committee he completed the draft hangar maintenance and compliance inspection and gave it to Jody Sanders for review. An executive summary of the draft was discussed at the meeting; committee members did not vote on the report but recorded next steps for staff review and finalization.
The minutes state that a state inspection could occur any time now through July and that the city is usually given 24–48 hours’ notice so tenants can be notified. No specific defects, repair costs or timelines were presented in the draft at the meeting.
Street Department work connected to maintenance items was also discussed: landing runway indicators for the decommissioned RW1‑19 have been removed and holes filled, and staff will clean and assess rails at hangars F1–F4. The Street Department will report any significant repairs to the committee for further action.
The committee recorded these updates for follow‑up; staff will return with a finalized inspection report once internal review is complete.
