Commissioner Rick Dyer introduced a draft proclamation for the 2026 National Day of Prayer (Submission No. 3); the Board agreed to add an Order proclaiming May 7, 2026, as National Day of Prayer. The Board also agreed to add an Order proclaiming May 11-17, 2026, as National Salvation Army Week after Dyer introduced a draft proclamation (Submission No. 4). The Board noted receipt of a draft proclamation from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and agreed to add an Order proclaiming May 10-16, 2026, as Police Week (Submission No. 5).
