Board accepts fee-in-lieu from Whittier Townhomes; tables Gay Fad Studios' alcohol request

The Lancaster Board of Park Commissioners on Jan. 8 accepted a fee in lieu of land dedication from the Whittier Townhomes development and postponed consideration of an alcohol service request from an event organizer.
Jimmy Johnson, owner of Whittier Townhomes, presented his development and proposed that the Board accept a fee rather than a land dedication. Commissioner Kari James moved to accept the fee in lieu; Bob Lovell seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
David Annecy of Gay Fad Studios requested permission to obtain alcohol as part of a rental agreement for the 'Bottoms Up' event scheduled for June 26–29. After discussion the Board tabled the alcohol request to the Feb. 5 agenda.
These items were recorded in the minutes as passing (fee accepted) and tabled (alcohol request) without further discussion.
