Members and public commenters praised public works crews and urged prioritized drain clearing to prevent flooding when temperatures warm. The assembly voted 6–0 on first reading; second reading is set for April 14.
The ordinance allows staff to pay for short‑term contractor work and overtime needed to clear streets and drains and to begin addressing anticipated pothole damage once thaw allows.
