Poweshiek County supervisors approve routine agenda items, utility permit and seasonal hire

The board approved the meeting agenda (moved by Jeff Tindle, seconded by Jacki Bolen) and the minutes from May 7, 2026 (moved by Bolen, seconded by Tindle). The board approved Utility Permit #26-25U for Brooklyn Mutual Telephone Coop to perform work in Section 11 of Bear Creek Township (moved by Tindle, seconded by Bolen). The board also approved a certificate of appointment for Matthew Turley as a Seasonal Park Technician at $14.00 per hour, effective May 12, 2026 (moved by Bolen, seconded by Tindle), and later approved a lease with the Poweshiek County Sportsman Association, authorizing Chairperson Jason Roudabush to sign. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m. on a 3-0 vote.
