Partridge emphasized KPC’s role in local workforce development and dual enrollment: the college served 283 students in 90 dual‑enrollment courses this year and awarded GEDs and industry credentials that led directly to employment. He highlighted pilot expedited certificate programs (six‑week welding and four‑week emergency trauma technician training) intended to produce quickly marketable skills and noted the college recently reopened a residence hall to increase capacity.
Partridge also pointed to strong industry ties and grants (Perkins funding) that support equipment and scholarships; he described partnerships with local hospitals, the borough school district and industry groups that inform curriculum and placement. He said the college’s workforce programs — process technology, welding, paramedicine and CNA cohorts — have high credentialing and placement success rates.
What comes next: the assembly will consider the KPC transfer request within the FY27 budget cycle; KPC expects to recommend a permanent director in June and will continue reporting outcomes tied to the requested funds.
