Board reviews MOU for JV girls lacrosse funded by booster club

Mr. Razor described the arrangement and told the board the booster club would fully fund customary operating costs. "They have their own booster club... the boys' lacrosse commenced about 3 years ago, they had, like, $100,000 in their account that they fully funded," he said, adding that the booster club is "fully prepared to pay for" the girls’ program.
Board members clarified the MOU language should state the booster will cover the costs customarily associated with operating the program. No additional district funding was requested at the workshop and staff said the budgetary impact for the district would be minimal if the boosters cover the program as described.
Next steps: staff requested final MOU language for the board to review; no vote was recorded in the transcript.
