The Kenowa Hills Board of Education received first readings of a package of proposed bylaw and policy changes at its May 4 Committee of the Whole meeting.
Items presented for first reading included Bylaw 0100 (Definitions); new Policy 1410 (Staff Ethics); revised leave policies 1430/3430/4430; revised Policy 2370.01 (Online/Blended Learning Program); revised Policy 2418 (Sex Education); renumbering and revisions related to volunteer policies (3120.09/4120.09 and Policy 8120.09); new Policy 4210 (Staff Ethics); replacement Policy 5136 (Wireless Communications Devices); revisions to Policy 6320 (Purchasing) and Policy 6325 (Procurement – Federal Grants/Funds); revisions to the Emergency Operations Plan (Policy 8402); updates to Food Services (Policy 8500); and a new Policy 8655 on specialized transportation for students with IEPs.
