Kenowa Hills hears marketing plan and finance update; condensed fund statement delayed

At the May 4 Committee of the Whole, Jacqlyn Burde of Galapagos Marketing presented an overview of marketing activities completed during the year and a proposal to address district marketing needs in the 2026–27 contract year. The presentation summarized work to date and offered a vendor proposal for continuing or expanding district marketing efforts.
Director Long delivered the finance report, reviewing April financial materials including the April check register and investment income. Long said the Condensed Fund Statement could not be finalized for the work session because April bank statements were received that day; the Condensed Fund Statement will be provided at the upcoming regular meeting. Long also provided a high-level overview of the FY2026–27 Kent ISD budget.
Trustees received the marketing and finance briefings as informational items; no contract awards or budget votes were recorded during the work session.
