The board also approved the April 20, April 28 and April 30 meeting minutes.
The board accepted a slate of certified staff retirements effective June 30, 2026, that included Joseph Acker (High School PE), Jennifer Brandstatter (Alpine Elementary interventionist), Shelly Kunst (Alpine interventionist), Julie Mortimore (Alpine second grade), Diane Papranec (Alpine kindergarten), Jane Robrahn (Pathways Language Arts), Jayne VanderKlok (Middle School and Pathways High School resource room) and James Voss (High School US History). Resignations listed included Trisha VanDyke (Central Elementary speech and language pathologist, effective May 14, 2026) and Melissa Evans (Alpine Elementary STEM teacher, effective April 19, 2026).
Separately, the board adopted a School Family Appreciation Day resolution (Report #26-038) by a 6-0 vote after a motion by Trustee Courtade, supported by Trustee Hart.
No public comments were received during the meeting. The board listed upcoming events including a May 14 special meeting for superintendent interviews and a May 18 regular meeting and retirement celebration.
