The Midland Public Schools board voted unanimously Dec. 15 to authorize administrators to execute closing and related documents for the sale of a district-owned parcel at 2900 Dower Street.
Administrators said the sale was near closing and that a title-agent document requires a board resolution to give district leaders authority to finalize any minor closing changes and sign the necessary paperwork. The sale is part of a partnership that will allow the districtbuilding-trades program to assist Habitat in constructing up to 14 homes over a 10-year period.
Board member Brian summarized the resolution and moved approval. The motion was supported and carried on a roll-call vote with President Rous, Secretary Ringold, Trustee Blazy, Trustee Craig and Trustee Horowitz all recorded as supporting the resolution.
The board instructions empower Penny and the identified administrators to sign closing documents and handle any needed adjustments to complete the transaction.
