Members discussed scheduling conflicts for some regents and suggested offering the onboarding as part of regularly scheduled board meetings to increase attendance. The committee agreed to keep onboarding a priority so that newly appointed members receive training promptly.
On nominations, staff described a new chart listing board members with added columns for geography and areas of expertise to aid future appointment and reappointment considerations. The committee noted that discussions of individual candidates or personnel matters should occur in executive session.
The committee approved sending the charter‑review memo to other committee chairs and asked staff to proceed with scheduling and materials.
