Germantown Board of Education highlights Goal 2 on student readiness and safety

Ellis also framed school culture as central to readiness, saying whether in classrooms, onstage or on athletic fields, the district wants "every student to feel a true sense of belonging." He said the plan calls for fostering "meaningful relationships" and expanding mentorship opportunities so students know they "are valued and connected."

On safety and operations, Ellis said the district will continue "enhancing our emergency preparedness, strengthening partnerships with first responders, and investing in modern facilities that keep students and staff safe." He described safety and operations as a "cornerstone" of Goal 2.

Ellis closed by characterizing Goal 2 as more than policy: "It is about giving every student the foundation they need to thrive in school and in life." He invited Germantown families and the community to learn more about Goal 2 and the entire Strategic Plan 2030.
