County Manager Brian Epley presented framework options for a Burke County Citizens Academy on March 6. Commissioner Randy Burns asked whether registration could be handled through WPCC’s Continuing Education program; no action was taken on the framework during the meeting.
The board approved several procedural motions during the retreat. Mike Stroud moved to approve the agenda; the motion passed unanimously with AYES: Jeffrey C. Brittain, Phil Smith, Brian Barrier, Randy Burns and Mike Stroud. At 12:12 p.m. the board voted to recess for lunch on a motion by Randy Burns; that motion also passed unanimously. Commissioner Brian Barrier moved to adjourn at 1:55 p.m.; the adjournment motion passed unanimously.
All substantive presentation items were received for information and no policy or ordinance votes were taken during the session.
