County Manager Brian Epley introduced a Water and Sewer Asset Inventory and Assessment at the March 6 budget retreat. Chuck Willis of Willis Engineering presented the assessment results and was followed by Sydnee Potter, also with Willis Engineering, who covered highlights of the study.
Presenters outlined the department’s infrastructure and summarized key challenges requiring attention; the Board asked questions during the presentation and panelists, staff and the County Manager responded. After a recess, Vice Chairman Phil Smith raised additional water and sewer questions and a brief follow-up discussion occurred before the meeting moved on. No vote or formal action was taken on the AIA during the session.
The presentation provided commissioners with a high‑level view of system condition and priorities for capital planning; the AIA will inform future budgeting and any targeted repairs or upgrades.
