Parent raises parental-rights concerns and alleges staff-directed abortion support

"The parents of Fairfax County deserve to know what funds were used and how this may have happened."
Steiner also urged the board to avoid spending on outside legal counsel at the expense of classroom priorities; a later commenter said the district has spent several million dollars on legal fees since 2019 and warned of potential loss of federal funding if compliance gaps persist.
Board members did not announce a staff report or new policy at the meeting. Trustees acknowledged the concern raised in public comment and indicated they would request information from staff and legal counsel; no formal board action or referral was recorded in the public meeting minutes presented at this session.
Because the assertions reported in public comment were raised during the public-comment period and not reviewed during the meeting, they remain allegations in need of verification by district officials and, where appropriate, law-enforcement or state investigators.
