Planning commissioner Brent Berg steps down; Joshua Schroeder named to fill seat

Commissioner Brent Berg told the Planning Commission he is stepping down because family and other obligations limit his availability. "I've enjoyed being on the board and honestly the only reason I'm backing down is that I've got two teenage kids...just too busy," Berg said.
The commission introduced Joshua (Josh) Schroeder (of Barnesville), who described his three years on the Barnesville planning and zoning board and his background as a structural engineer focused on bridges. Commissioners moved and carried to appoint Schroeder to the county Planning Commission (motion by Ashley, second by Sebastian). Berg was thanked for his service and commissioners welcomed Schroeder to the commission.
