Midway Education Foundation reports record fundraising and grants for Midway ISD

She said the foundation raised $332,810 in pledges (a year-over-year increase) and a total of $473,853 across all channels, its highest total on record.
The foundation reported contributions from a record-setting 421 donors, increased corporate and foundation support (172 corporate donors contributing more than $152,000), and growth in family and individual giving. Ashley told trustees the foundation awarded 71 grants to 80 teachers totaling over $185,000 and distributed scholarships and classroom-startup reimbursements to support recruitment and retention of teachers.
"This year we awarded 71 grants to 80 teachers totaling over $185,000," Ashley said, noting new and expanded programs such as the Panther Cub initiative and "honor a staff member" nominations that increased donor engagement.
The foundation noted partnerships with local businesses that provided more than $50,000 in in-kind support, and initiatives that increased donor numbers and repeat giving. Ashley said the foundation had already launched its 2025 annual drive under board president Jordan Perry.
Board members praised the foundation's progress and asked routine follow-up questions about the foundation's longevity (Ashley said it was established in 2001) and programming. The report was accepted as part of the consent agenda.
